Knysna, on the garden route of South Africa is a couple of nights destination in any conventional itinerary, for the international tourists, mainly with an intention to visit Oudtshoorn - the feather capital of the world. Rarely do the visitors realize that there is a lot to do in this pot of gold, one of the most scenic places on the southern coastline of South Africa.
With high adrenaline activities on the route which are weather permitting ... it is wise to add an extra day at this serene town, and i promise you will not be disappointed even if you have a spare day to loiter around doing nothing apparently as planned in the itinerary.
Impromptu and short trips are abound if just not doing anything. Interacting with a local, hiring a sail boat and cruising in the quite lagoon up till the heads, on a sunny day, would undoubtedly be an amazing experience.
